Explore Our Frequently Asked Questions
Fire Safety Training
Does your fire safety training involve practical elements?
Yes, our Fire Safety Training includes hands-on, practical components designed to make learning engaging and memorable. Delegates can experience live fire extinguisher demonstrations using a controlled fire rig, giving them the confidence to respond effectively in a real emergency.
How long do Fire Safety certificates last?
Not all fire safety certificates expire, but refresher training is strongly recommended every three years or sooner if your insurers or policies require it. Refresher training ensures staff remain confident, up-to-date with legislation, and aware of any changes to your building, equipment, or workforce that could affect fire procedures.
How long does the training take?
Our standard Fire Marshal and Fire Warden Training typically takes half a day, although we can extend or shorten the session depending on your requirements, group size, and level of detail needed. We also offer virtual and blended delivery options for flexibility.
What qualification will I receive?
Upon successful completion, participants receive a 1st Choice Certificate of Attendance or, if requested, an Ofqual Level 2 qualification in Fire Safety both recognised as evidence of compliant fire safety training
General Training Questions
Where can training take place?
We offer flexible delivery options for your business. Courses can be held at your premises, at a suitable local venue, or virtually via live online sessions. We’ll work with you to choose the most convenient option for your team.
Are your trainers qualified?
Yes all our trainers are industry professionals with real-world experience in firefighting, emergency response, healthcare, and the armed forces. Their expertise ensures your training is practical, engaging, and fully compliant with UK safety standards.
First Aid Training
How long does a First Aid certificate last?
First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid certificates are valid for three years from the date of issue. To stay compliant and confident, we strongly recommend refresher courses either annually or before your certificate expires. Refresher training helps keep first aid knowledge sharp and ensures your team remains prepared for workplace emergencies.
What materials or resources are provided after the course?
Every delegate receives a First Aid reference book, available as an eBook for online access or as a printed copy on request. This acts as a useful refresher tool to reinforce learning long after the course has finished.
Difference of Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work?
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a one-day programme covering essential life-saving skills for low-risk environments. The First Aid at Work (FAW) course is a three-day programme offering a more comprehensive understanding of injuries, illnesses, and emergency care ideal for higher-risk workplaces such as manufacturing, construction, or care settings.
