Course Description

Manual handling related injuries are THE biggest cause of working days lost in the UK. Having informed. enjoyable and relaxed training can help you and your business reduce the chances of this occuring. On a personal note back injuries are now being very closely linked with inactive lifestyles, depression and stress, post injury, which we all know is absolutely no good for anyone. To learn about positive ways to reduce the chances of injury you may want to attend one of our Manual Handling Training courses held either at our training centres or we can deliver training at your company.

The main aim of this course is to reduce the risk of injury from manual handling using correct lifting techniques, but more importantly the reasons for doing things correctly. We will give an understanding of the risk assessments required to perform tasks. We look to show the personal benefits to this. This course is suitable for everyone! It’s designed for anyone in any industry that is required to carry out any lifting, handling, carrying, pushing, pulling tasks as part of their daily job role. This involves those that are desk based.

Students will have to be fit enough to complete the practical element and will have to declare themselves fit at the beginning of the course.

Each participant receives a certificate to prove their qualification after successfully completing the course.
This will show that your company has assessed needs and provided relevant training to keep your workforce safe.

Other Information

  • Certificate Renewal:
    We recommend that you re-train every 3 years as a maximum. You may however be required to train more often dependent on your risk assessment or insurance requirements.
  • Max Delegates:
    There are no minimum group size, we look to have groups of no more than 12 – 15 to ensure an interactive course for the delegates.
