Knowing what to do during a fire emergency is essential. On this course, you will be trained in evacuation procedures, how to assist colleagues or visitors, and how to ensure a safe and efficient exit from the premises.
Practical Fire Extinguisher Use
The course includes an optional live fire practical using a controlled gas fire rig. Delegates will get hands-on experience with fire extinguishers, providing valuable insight into how and when to use them safely.
Alarm Protocols and Documentation
Participants are taught how to test and respond to fire alarm systems and how to properly maintain records such as fire logbooks and contractor brief forms. We also provide free templates and resources to support ongoing compliance.
Legal Duties and the Role of the Fire Marshal
The course covers the responsibilities fire marshals hold under UK fire safety law. This includes conducting fire safety checks, managing evacuation drills, assisting in risk assessments, and taking control in the event of an incident.
Flexible and Certified Training Options
This half-day course typically lasts 3.5 hours and can be delivered at your workplace or a suitable venue. We also offer virtual sessions for remote or hybrid teams. Upon successful completion, participants receive either an OfQual Level 2 Certificate in Fire Safety or a 1st Choice certificate of attendance. We also provide a reference booklet to support ongoing learning.
